Hello, and welcome to my blog! I am so glad you stopped by. Who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. Just kidding, this isn’t that blog.
I’m a 30-year-old woman who lives with her three-legged dog and fourty-something fiancé in Cape Town, South Africa. I absolutely love fashion, reality TV (don’t judge me!), reading, coffee (a little bit too much) and dogs.
I asked my Instagram followers to send me some questions for this page. Check out my answers below!
What are your passions, your reasons for writing a blog & some inspiring words to live by.
One of my biggest passions is content creation, which is why I decided to start blogging again. In a world of bite-sized content, I have missed producing long-form content.
I live by this excerpt from one of my favourite books, You’re a Badass by Jen Sincero.
“Imagine that you’re an alien floating around in outer space and you suddenly swoop down to Earth and inhabit your own body. As the alien, everything about this life is new to you. You look around—what do you see? What is this person who you’ve inhabited so obviously awesome at? What do they have the most fun doing? What connections do they have? What resources and opportunities are available to them?
As the alien, to whom everything is new and exciting and there’s nothing at risk and no past to lug around, what are you going to do with this incredible new life you’ve stepped into? How are you going to use this new body and this existence to create something fabulous and awesome starting right now?”
Mxit names?
Oh my word, why can’t I remember my Mxit name? I feel that it was probably something boring, like my initials.
What do you do for a living?
I am the Marketing Lead for a software development company in Cape Town. I worked in retail content marketing before so it was a leap of faith to take on a role in tech, but I love it!
How tall are you?
I’m 1.78m, which means that I always struggle to find jeans. There are some perks though, like being my own step-ladder and always being able to see at concerts. (Sorry, everyone behind me.)
Have you always been introverted?
I think I may have been less introverted in primary school, but I became a lot more introverted in high school. I remember asking my mom to fabricate reasons why I’m not allowed to go out. I still went to parties just because I didn’t want to be left out, but I was at my happiest when I used two library cards to take out, and read, a stack of books over the school holidays. These days I am unapologetically introverted, and you’ll find me at home on a Friday evening wearing a face mask and watching my favourite shows.
What did you study at university?
I studied Copywriting at The Red & Yellow School of Business, formerly The Red & Yellow School of Logic and Magic.

All of the Harry Potter books
The Secret Life of Bees - Sue Monk Kidd
You Are a Badass - Jen Sincero

What was your Myspace background song?
I used to switch my Myspace song more than my underwear, but I think one of my first songs was Misery Business by Paramore.

Savoury: Salticrax with camembert
